Using EatProper

Is EatProper free?

Yes, completely free. No premium tiers, no paywalls, no ads. We're funded through affiliate partnerships with brands we use and recommend.

Do I need an account?

You can browse recipes and read discussions without an account. You'll need one to post recipes, join discussions, save recipes, use the meal planner, or track your health.

How do I submit a recipe?

Log in, then go to Submit a Recipe. Fill in the details, assign a tier, and publish. You can save as draft and come back later.

Can I edit or delete my recipes?

Yes. Go to your recipe and click "Edit" or "Delete." Only you (and moderators) can modify your recipes.

How does the meal planner work?

The meal planner gives you a weekly grid. Click any slot to search and add recipes, or type a custom meal. When you're done, generate a shopping list grouped by category.

What's the health tracker for?

The health tracker lets you log daily energy, mood, digestion, sleep, and symptoms. It shows your adaptation timeline and 7-day averages so you can see trends as your body adjusts.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings, scroll to "Danger Zone," and follow the confirmation steps. This permanently removes your account, recipes, reviews, and all associated data.

Diet & Tiers

What are the four tiers?

Lion — Ruminant meat, salt, water. The most restrictive. Good for elimination and autoimmune support.

Strict Carnivore — All animal products: meat, fish, eggs, animal fats. No plant foods.

Broad Carnivore — Animal-based with some additions like dairy, honey, or fruit.

Ketovore — Meat-heavy keto. Animal foods as foundation with low-carb veggies, avocado, or nuts.

Not sure? Take the tier quiz.

Which tier should I start with?

If you're new, Ketovore or Broad Carnivore is the easiest on-ramp. If you're dealing with health issues or want a full elimination reset, start with Strict or Lion. You can always adjust later.

Can I see recipes from other tiers?

Yes. Browse all recipes or filter by tier on the recipes page. Your tier preference in settings just sets the default filter.

Is this medical advice?

No. EatProper is a community resource, not a medical service. Nothing here is a substitute for professional medical advice. Talk to your doctor, get bloodwork, and listen to your body.

Community

What are the community rules?

How do I report content?

Click the report button on any recipe, discussion post, or comment. Moderators review all reports and take action as needed.

What does the "verified" badge mean?

Verified users are trusted community members who've been invited or approved. Their recipe endorsements carry extra weight. Verification is invite-only for now.
