Code of Conduct
Last updated: April 14, 2026
Our commitment
EatProper is a welcoming space for anyone exploring carnivore and ketovore eating. Whether you're day one or year ten, strict lion diet or relaxed ketovore, you belong here. We're building a community where people help each other eat well and feel better.
Be helpful
- Share what worked for you. Ask about what you're curious about.
- When someone's struggling with adaptation, encouragement goes further than criticism.
- If someone's doing it "wrong" by your standards, remember that everyone's path is different.
- Upvote genuinely helpful content. Downvote spam, not disagreement.
Be honest
- Share your actual experience, not things you read elsewhere presented as your own.
- Credit recipe inspiration when it applies.
- If you're a practitioner, coach, or content creator, be transparent about it.
- Don't manipulate votes, reviews, or discussions with alt accounts.
Be respectful
- No harassment, bullying, or personal attacks. Disagree with ideas, not people.
- No hate speech, slurs, or discrimination of any kind.
- No doxxing or sharing personal information without consent.
- No unsolicited DMs or contact outside the platform.
Health conversations
This is important. People come here with real health concerns.
- Do: Share your personal experience ("When I started, I had headaches for a week, then they went away").
- Don't: Give medical advice ("Stop taking your medication and eat only beef").
- Do: Encourage people to work with their doctor.
- Don't: Dismiss someone's health concerns or tell them to "push through" serious symptoms.
No spam or self-promotion
- Don't post links to your products, courses, or affiliate offers.
- Don't use the platform primarily to drive traffic to external sites.
- Genuine resource sharing (a helpful article, a good farm) is fine. Repeated plugging isn't.
Reporting and enforcement
If you see something that violates these guidelines, use the Report button on any recipe, discussion, or reply. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team.
What happens when someone breaks the rules
- First offense (minor): Content removed, friendly reminder sent.
- Repeated violations: Temporary mute (24 hours to 30 days).
- Serious violations: Immediate ban (harassment, hate speech, doxxing).
- Appeals: Email moderation@eatproper.org to appeal any moderation action.
Questions?
Not sure if something's OK to post? Err on the side of kindness. If you're still unsure, ask in the General discussion category.
