What is the carnivore diet?
An elimination-style diet focused on animal foods. Mostly meat, fish, and eggs. People use it to reduce inflammation, improve digestion, lose weight, or figure out food sensitivities. Ranges from very strict (Lion Diet) to flexible (Ketovore).
Which tier should I start with?
New? Start with Ketovore or Broad Carnivore. You still eat meat-first but have flexibility. Dealing with health issues or want a full reset? Strict or Lion gives you the cleanest elimination. Take our tier quiz for a personalized pick.
Is it safe long-term?
Lots of people thrive on animal-based diets for years. Meat is the most nutrient-dense food available. Everyone's different though. Listen to your body, get bloodwork, and talk to your doctor. EatProper is a community resource, not medical advice.
What do I eat on day one?
Keep it simple: a ribeye steak with salt. Seriously. Don't overthink it. Cook a fatty cut of beef, season with salt, eat until full. That's your first carnivore meal. Browse our easy recipes for more ideas.
