What we collect
When you create an account, we store your email address, display name, username, and any profile info you choose to add (bio, avatar, dietary tier preference). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
How we use it
- Account management — to let you log in, post recipes, participate in discussions, and manage your profile.
- Notifications — to alert you when someone replies to your thread, rates your recipe, or interacts with your content.
- Moderation — to enforce community guidelines and respond to reports.
- Platform improvement — aggregate, anonymized usage data helps us understand what features people use.
We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. We don't share personal information with third parties for marketing.
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in). No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies from third parties.
Data storage
Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted in the United States. Images are stored on Cloudflare R2. Both providers maintain SOC 2 compliance.
Your rights
- Access — you can view all your data in your profile and settings.
- Correction — edit your profile, recipes, and discussions at any time.
- Deletion — contact us to delete your account and all associated data.
- Export — contact us to request a copy of your data.
Children
EatProper is not intended for anyone under 13 years old. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We'll post updates to this page and note the date. Material changes will be announced via site notification.
