Ingredients

  • 1 ribeye steak 1.5 inch thick (bone-in preferred)
  • salt (generous)

Instructions

    Salt the ribeye generously and let sit at room temperature 45 minutes.

    Place on wire rack in oven at 250°F until internal temp hits 115°F (about 45 min).

    Heat cast iron to smoking hot.

  4. 4

    Sear 1 minute per side until deep brown crust forms.

  5. 5

    Rest 5 minutes. Slice and serve.
